Endoscopic features of <scp>high‐risk T1</scp> colorectal cancer: A case report with literature review

Colorectal cancer is the third leading cause of death in Taiwan. Endoscopic resection treatment choice for stage I colorectal without risk lymph node metastases. Unfavorable histological features predict high-risk neoplasm; addition, surface change T1 under image-enhanced endoscopy also help recognition neoplasm. Through case presentation, we aim to demonstrate how discriminate from low-risk counterpart by endoscopy. A 35-year-old woman systemic diseases received screening colonoscopy, and one 1 cm IIa + IIc neoplasm was found at transverse colon. The showed JNET type 3 narrow band imaging, Kudo VI with demarcation line focal VN central depressed area chromoendoscopy crystal violet. Under an impression cancer, laparoscopic right hemicolectomy performed, pathology well moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma metastasis, pT1N1M0. multidiscipline approach integrating gross morphological features, NBI, magnifying should be applied regular daily practice. Molecular diagnosis may aid increase specificity prediction metastases future. Further investigations using artificial intelligence, machine learning, or other new techniques improve accuracy still warranted.
